Sri . P K Mohana Varma, BSc., CAIIB, MBA is a Banker with vast experience of 45 years . He had worked in Assam, Mumbai, Chennai, Erode, and Wayanad, Kozhikode, Kasargod, Kannur districts of Kerala. He is an expert in Credit, Marketing, Recovery, Risk Management, HRM , Fund Management, and Customer relationship. He was a well known trade unionist in the banking trade union movement. Born on 15/09/1957, he worked as a Physics teacher, clerk in N M G Bank ( 4 yrs ) ,auditor for various Banks, he retired as Chief Manager of Canara Bank after putting a service of 34 years . He had undergone training in banking at various institutions inside India and at Singapore, Bangkok, Dubai etc. and was recipient of many awards in various fields of banking ,Insurance , Mutual fund ,Lead bank & Rural development activities , Communicative skills, etc., Working as C E O of our Bank since 01-10-2020 he was instrumental in running the bank continuously in profit for last 5 years ,distributed decent dividends to share holders ,two ATM s installed, Tech-products introduced, improvements made in the fields of cyber security , lending quality, internal controls ,customer services ,investment portfolio, recovery efforts, training, risk mitigation, planning for development etc ,making its pillar strong and head held high. He is working with a vision to uplift the downtrodden in the Payyanur CD block and make them available low cost banking services, latest tech products to common man, in a cyber safe environment.
